This beautiful piece of property on Gibson Island, Maryland sits high up on a steep cliff overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. The views are spectacular but the landscape was dated and overgrown when the new homeowners purchased the property as a second home. 

Their wishlist included screenings for privacy, an outdoor kitchen accommodating a built in grill and Big Green Egg, an outdoor dining area, a lounge area down by the water, a revitalized pond, flagpole and a firepit. We were able to accommodate all requests, creating “rooms” for each of their desired activities creating a flow through the landscape with views from all spaces. 

The issues were mainly having to renovate on a steep incline and protecting the hillside from eroding while the new plants established a strong root system.
